Remote Powered and IMA (T1) Fed DSLAM Site Maintenance

DSLAM sites that use existing twisted copper cable pairs to power the loop electronics have their own unique issues. IMA (T1 Copper) fed DSLAMs are being replaced, but thousands are still providing customer service in the field. Both technologies use high DC voltage that directly impacts the copper cable binder groups and individual pairs. This seminar discusses that impact and provides maintenance strategies to mitigate that impact.
