With customer demand for fast, reliable, and low-cost Internet service, ISPs are under intense pressure to keep their networks running flawlessly. When subscriber’s can’t access their usual content, network engineers need to work quickly to determine if the root cause lies within the ISP’s network or the home network. By using readily-available tools, and a methodical approach, the cause can be pinpointed and resolved quickly. By using these same tools, network staff can also begin to proactively look for issues in the network before any trouble tickets are generated.
