Communications sites come in a variety of sizes, shapes and geographic locations. A backup power solution that is right for one may not be the best for all and knowing how to determine which power products are most appropriate for each particular site can be the difference between successful communication during primary power outages and a black eye with your customers and stakeholders. Power requirements, road access, desired run time and monitoring needs all figure into the planning — as do cost and sustainability considerations. In this session, we will use real-world scenarios and photos to discuss successful and challenging use cases for a variety of backup power solutions, including various sizes of fuel cells, batteries and diesel generators.
