This session will examine the global deployment factors creating a demand in next generation wireless services, highlight the prominent role infrastructure will play in 5G and shine a spotlight on the professional opportunities available to the industry’s skilled workforce during the deployment phase. The session will also detail potential roadblocks that could hinder the US in the Global Race to 5G by focusing on challenges such as the industry’s labor shortage, lagging contractor payment terms and state and local regulatory hurdles that could slow down deployment.
